Geraldine Tan has over a decade of experience working with individuals with a multitude of psychological problems. Geraldine specializes in approaches and techniques like Choice and Reality Therapy (CTRT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her focus is on helping clients with clinical disorders and behavioral issues. She is also skilled in using Hypnotherapy and Artistic Therapies (Art, Drama, Clay, Play and Sand) to provide a more holistic care for her clients. She is also trained in Yoga Therapy for effective work with children and parents. Geraldine conducts psychological testing for cognitive functioning, personality and job suitability. On top of having conducted workshops and talks for numerous organizations, Geraldine has been featured widely in the media including magazines, television and the Internet, to educate the public about the different disorders.
Geraldine is widely known in Singapore working with pediatricians to attend to the young as early as two years old. She specifically work with children diagnosed with autism. She runs social-emotional skills workshops for the special needs schools and centres for underprivileged children. Parents also approach her for consultation on teenage and adolescent challenges.
Geraldine is a registered psychologist with the Singapore Register of Psychologists and a member of Crisis Response Network (CRN), working with local and expatriates in times of crisis, conducting Critical Incident Stress Management. She is an active member in other professional bodies, including the William Glasser Institute and is the Honorary treasurer for the Association of Group and Individual Psychotherapy. Geraldine enjoys time with her two children for stress management
