Adolescence, known as the transitional phase of growth and development between childhood and adulthood, is a time of great opportunity, risk, and vulnerability. Both parents and adolescents need empowering support, research-driven information and resources, and community during this period of newness and rapid changes.

 

TASE Center is offering a free Support Group for Parents of Adolescents and Teens aged 12-19. Parents and caregivers gather for four weeks, 1.5 hour to connect, learn in community, and find support. Each meeting is led by Dr. Mirasol Delmar, clinical psychologist and trained in adolescent development and group facilitation.

Four-week Support Group focus on one specific theme, with each week exploring a different topic within that theme each week.

 

Topic of discussion:

• Foundations of parenting adolescents and teens

• Adolescents and teens mental health

• Effectively communicating with adolescents and teens

• The social world of adolescents and teens and social media

Who Attends:

TASE Parent Support Group is open to solo parents, caregivers, and couples caring for children 12-19 years old.

Where:

TASE Parent Support Group is open with limited number of 12 parents or caregivers offered in person in TASE CENTER
